My dream air rifle works like an 880, but is made with more steel parts, like regular firearms. I love the idea of variable power airguns that are more solid than the brass and pot-metal we find in many affordable airguns. You just can’t find anything tough unless you look at the heavy, single pump models popular in Europe. The saddest thing from my younger days was when my late 1980’s model Daisy 880 started to get loose and wobbly, weaker and less accurate. I knew I’d never find one that could match its accuracy. Just my 2 cents. Thanks, Matt

I agree, the 822 came close but would like to see that idea carried into a .177 caliber air rifle with the bb hopper like the 880. The 822 is a .22 caliber version of the 880 with metal side covers and wood furniture, but is just a single shot pellet rifle.
